Welcome to Complete Journal. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Complete Journal (“we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Complete Journal app and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Complete Journal is a personal journaling app that lets you record entries, photos, goals, milestones, and related memories, and revisit them over time. We may add, change, or remove features as the Service evolves.
You own your content. The entries, photos, and other material you add remain yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that content back to you so the Service can function. We do not claim ownership of your memories and we do not sell them.
You agree not to use the Service to: break the law; infringe others’ rights; upload content you don’t have the right to use; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or use it to harm others.
Optional AI features (such as Daily Reflection) generate suggestions based on your content using third-party AI providers. These suggestions are for personal inspiration only and may not always be accurate. Using these features is your choice.
Complete Journal may offer free and paid plans. If paid features are introduced, pricing and billing terms will be presented to you before purchase, and any purchases made through the Apple App Store are subject to Apple’s terms.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may permanently delete your account and content from Settings → Delete account in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Complete Journal is a journaling tool — it is not a medical, mental-health, legal, or professional service, and should not be relied on as such. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost; please keep your own backups (you can export your data as CSV).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Complete Journal will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, unless your local law requires otherwise.
